  • What is composite decking?

    Composite decking is a long-lasting, low-maintenance alternative to wood made from a blend of wood fibres, recycled plastics and bonding agents. Composite boards are easier to maintain than traditional wood decking.

  • Composite V Wood

    Composite decking require less maintenance than traditional wood decking. Composite decking never needs to be sealed, stained or painted, and the boards won’t warp, crack or splinter! Composite decking also has a much longer lifespan than timber.

  • Where can i use Composite Decking

    The easy answer - anywhere.

    Inside, outside, residential, commercial, communal areas, balconies, pool sides, garden patios, schools, rooftop terraces, leisure centres, hotels, outdoor walkways, the list goes on.

  • How do i clean my composite Deck?

    It’s simple, using a soft brush and warm, soapy water, give your deck a good scrub, then hose it off and leave to dry - that’s it!

    If you want to do a quick tidy up you can always use a vacuum cleaner or leaf blower.

  • How do i know how much Composite i will need?

Returns and Deliveries FAQ.

  • Returns - Can i return my product if i haven't used it?

    We can accept returns so long as the product is still in perfect condition and its returned within 28 days of delivery. There will be a £££ collection charge and a 15% restocking fee. It is the customers expense to return the item to BenMartyn LTD. You must contact our customer Support team on sales@benmartyn.com stating your reason for return. We will then provide you with a returns form which must be attached to the goods being returned.

  • WARRANTY - Are my products covered by a warranty?

    A Manufacturers warranty is offered on all products offered on Benmartyn.com. This warranty will cover you in case of product failure under normal use and also from manufacturing defects.

  • DELIVERY - What is your standard delivery time?

    Our standard delivery time is between 3-5 days.

  • DELIVERY - Can you do next day delivery?

    We are able to offer next day delivery but this is dependant on stock and demand.

  • DELIVERY - Do you deliver to Scotland and Northern Island?

    We delivery to mainland UK and Scotland - we do not currently deliver to Northern Ireland.

  • DELIVERY - Are there any delivery terms i should be aware of?

    Products are unloaded by hand off the van. A person must be present to help unload the goods and sign for receipt. The delivery driver is not insured to help unload the goods beyond the property kerbside.

Installation FAQ.

  • What tools and materials will i need for installation

    Please find the material and tools required for installation on the installation guide.

  • What gaps do i need?

    We recommend leaving gaps at the end of each product to allow for expansion and contraction for changing temperatures. The correct spacing required can be found in the installation guide.

  • Do you install composite decking?

    BenMartyn LTD are suppliers of composite, however, we have a network of recommended installers who we trust to bring your plans to reality. We recommend that you follow your own precautions before entering into a contract. Please contact us on sales@benmartyn.com

  • Will my composite decking rot?

    Composite decking will not rot like wood when exposed to moisture. The plastic content means that the boards are resistant to rot, damp, mould, mildew, insects and fungal decay.

  • Will my boards get slippery?

    BenMartyn Composite Decking has been tested by an independent testing facility.

    Keeping your decking surface clean and clear of mildew and algal growth will help to retain its non-slip properties

  • Are Composite Boards Fire Resistant?

    Our decking boards are less likely to catch firs because they have a higher combustion temperature than timber. Our boards have been fire tested.
